
Tsigereda Zewdu
Board Member
Tsigereda Zewdu has spent her life using her personal and career experiences to work on positive youth and women’s development activities. She has more than 12 years of experience working with youth, women, and communities from the grassroots level to the federal level on a broad range of development issues. She graduated in Law from Unity University and a Master’s in Sociology from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNU). She is an MBA student at International Leadership Institute. She attended different short-term pieces of training and conferences locally and internationally. Currently, she is working in Ethiopian Youth Federation as a Vice President and serving as Communication and Resource Mobilization director in YMCA Ethiopia.
She is actively participating in different initiatives and served as an advisor and board member in IPPF as the Champion of Family Planning, and in the Ethiopian Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (EEITI) as an Executive Board Member & CSO Chair.
Tsigereda Zewdu has also served YWCA Ethiopia (Young Women Christian Association) as an Executive Board member, and the British Council – Horn of Africa Leadership and Learning for Action (HOLLA) Project as an Advisory Board Member. She is the end Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) Ambassador in The Girls Generation Brand. She is also serving the Authority of Civil Society Organization (ACSO) as an Executive Board Member and the Ethiopian Civil Society Council & Forum as an Executive Board Member. Tsigereda Zewdu is actively participating in IGAD Peace & Security Division and as a member of the Youth Forum for peace regional platform. Tsigereda Zewdu is a Rotarian and is National Youth Voluntary Community Service Program (NYVC-SP) ToT Trainer. She received a recognition award for Ambassador for Peace from Universal Peace Federation.
